The reason for the Webmaster Excellence award is to award webmasters for their excellence in website creation. When we say creation we don't necessarily mean the graphics, art, or html, but more the overall value of the site. Your site may win because it excels in any of these areas but it does not have to excel in all of them to win.
We think there are people out there that want some recognition for their achievements and this award program is here to give it to them. We really wanted an award that awards webmasters and their sites as a whole instead of mistakes made here and there. Though we will still obviously be looking for little errors here and there, they won't necessarily disqualify you from receiving some level of our award.
Please understand that this does not mean the award will be easily won. We need to see something very special to for you to win this award. One of our goals is to not have an award that is seen to be easily won, and that shows up all over the net. Instead we wish to be seen as an award program which is top notch.
Please rest assured that we will always ethically review you site. We will not discriminate against any race, gender, nation, or any other trait that may be not be considered globally unacceptable. We will not give awards to any site that promotes illegal content, or is not family safe. We will never divulge any private information entered in our applications, to anyone, ever! Also we will give each and every person who takes the time to read through our criteria and apply correctly the same amount of respect and time when we review their site.
